These three novels constitute the Empire series, acting as a narrative bridge betwen the Robot novels and the Foundation saga. They cover different episodes during the chaotic era when Trantor was consolidating power throughout the galaxy while Earth deteriorated into a forgotten radioactive backwater. They're among Asimov's earliest and shortest novels, and consequently feature some of Asimov's "pulpiest" writing, which is the energy I've hoped to capture in these designs.
